Selecting Eye Glasses

Selecting Eyewear at Sunshine Modern Eye Care

As a private practice, our utmost priority is delivering exceptional patient care and providing high-quality eyewear. Our staff are trained to address frame-specific needs, like high prescription, and preferences, such as lifestyle choices.

Sunshine Modern Eye Care proudly showcases a wide selection of stylish designer frames, ensuring there is something for everyone. We carry brands like Tom Ford, Burberry, and Versace. We also offer quality prescription safety glasses that comply with many work-covered programs, featuring brands like Armour and OnGuard, and other types of eyewear, like prescription swimming goggles.

We understand that pricing is an important factor for our patients, and we strive to offer a diverse range of frame options to suit various budgets, making eye care accessible and convenient for all our valued patients. Our single vision frame and lens combos start at $179 and our progressive lens combos start at $279, encompassing essential features such as an Anti-Glare and Anti-Scratch Coating. We also offer a 1-year manufacturer warranty on glasses bought in our store for manufacturer defects. For the warranty’s contents, terms, and conditions, please feel free to reach out to our store at any time.

At Sunshine Modern Eye Care, we prioritize your visual well-being, and we’re dedicated to helping you make informed choices about your eyeglasses. We’ll assist you in selecting the ideal lens type, material, index, and coating tailored to your unique lifestyle and vision correction requirements. Thanks to today’s advanced technology, we can craft lenses that are a perfect match for you.

High Definition vs. Conventional Lens

Conventional lenses typically grind the prescription around the pupil region, ensuring the clearest vision where your pupil is located. However, high-definition Hoya lenses utilize modern CNC machinery to incorporate the prescription throughout the lens rather than just the center. This results in sharper and clearer vision regardless of where you look. These high-definition lenses come with a guarantee of quality, offering a four-month window for prescription changes and a two-year warranty on Anti-Scratch Coatings, whereas conventional lenses typically lack such warranties.

As prescriptions increase, conventional lenses may exhibit more side distortion, thickness, and inferior coatings, making high-definition lenses a preferable choice. Conversely, lower prescriptions may suffice with basic lenses, which are more cost-effective but lack warranties. Our eye wear experts can explain more during your next office visit.

Bifocal and Progressive Lenses

Bifocal lenses feature two distinct viewing areas to effectively address vision issues at two distances. Progressive lenses provide a smoother transition between multiple distances.

High Index and Aspheric Lenses

High Index and Aspheric lenses are designed to be thinner at the edges, making them lighter and an excellent option for individuals with stronger prescriptions.

Polycarbonate/Trivex Lenses

Polycarbonate lenses offer remarkable durability, being up to 10 times more impact-resistant than standard plastic lenses. These lenses provide added peace of mind for parents, making sure that their children’s eyes are well-protected during energetic play and sports, without compromising on visual clarity or comfort. Those with active lifestyles such as hikers, cyclists, or skiers, can also benefit from the durability of polycarbonate lenses, shielding their eyes from the elements and unexpected encounters with branches, rocks, or other objects.
