My medical journey began at Bashkir State University in Ufa, Russia. I had an internship and residency at Ufa Eye Research Institute. In 2012, I transitioned to Canada, having successfully completed the International Optometric Bridging program at the University of Waterloo.
In my clinical role, I provide comprehensive primary care, serving patients of all ages, including children and those with special needs.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I actively engage with the community, volunteering with organizations like the Eye See Eye Learn (ESEL) Program, OAO, and CAO. I’m passionate about promoting eye health in our local community and mentoring aspiring optometry students.
Beyond my professional life, I also enjoy ballroom dancing, language learning, travel, reading, and quality family time, which enhance both my professional and personal well-being.
As a University of Waterloo alumna, I had the opportunity to apply to various Optometry schools. I ended up pursuing higher education at the SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, eventually earning my OD license. After my studies, I returned to Ontario, gained experience, and began looking for a clinic in the Peel Region (I grew up here) where I may lay my roots.
At Sunshine Modern Eye Care, my specialty is comprehensive vision eye care and contact lens services. I have been part of the clinic for more than half-a-decade and I enjoy seeing my patients on a recuring basis.
In my personal time, I am an avid world traveler and I enjoy being physically active; I have a passion for yoga and I am a certified yoga teacher. I also enjoy photography, hiking and meditation.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from McMaster University, I did the Doctors of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo. During my studies, I worked as an Optometric Assistant at Sunshine Modern Eye Care which helped me to develop a passion for eye exams and eye wear brands. During my studies, I was also able to connect with life-long mentors and participate in a volunteer-based eye exam program in Hamilton. Today, I am an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and a proud member of the Sunshine team.
As someone that was born and raised in Brampton, I am excited about providing vision eye care services at Sunshine Modern Eye Care. Sunshine gives me a feeling that I always wanted; a clinic that puts patients and their care ahead of everything else. My specialty is comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fitting. I enjoy serving the individuals and families of all ages that come and visit me at the clinic. It is really great to see patients come back every year.
During my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, gardening, and biking with my family. I also like to travel and see the world.
I earned my Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, building upon my undergraduate foundation in Medical Sciences at the University of Western, Ontario. After my studies, I’ve volunteered with Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH) and had the privilege of traveling to the Dominican Republic to provide essential eye care to underserved communities. Since then, I have moved back to Ontario, gained experience working in various Optometric clinics, and joined the Sunshine Team.
At Sunshine Modern Eye Care, my commitment to eye care standards goes above and beyond the minimum standards. My passion lies in patient education. I am dedicated to imparting comprehensive knowledge on all aspects of eye health, aiming to provide an exceptional experience for every patient under my care. My specialty is comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fitting.
Beyond my professional life, I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family.
